If You Had One More Afternoon with …
Someone you loved, what would you ask them? What stories would you want to hear again?
About Circa Legacy, the Premiere Legacy Storytelling Service
Hi, I’m Keesia Wirt, the founder and CEO of Circa Legacy.
I started this company because of the biggest regret of my life—never sitting down with my grandmas, Betty and Maxine, to record their incredible stories. My mission is to help families capture and preserve their most meaningful memories—before it’s too late.
Grandma Betty lit up every room she entered, even while living with pain every day after contracting polio at 17. Just look at her in that high school majorette uniform—knee-high white boots, baton in hand, full of sass!
Grandma Maxine lost her mother at age eight and her father at 18. She worked three jobs to put herself through Drake University and taught public school for over 40 years. She was the first to tell me I had a gift for writing—that I could make her laugh and cry, all on the same page.
They were my biggest cheerleaders. And yet, I never asked them about the hardest moments in their lives. I didn’t understand that their experiences were part of my inheritance—wisdom I could have passed on to my children.
That’s the true legacy: not just names and dates on a family tree or money in a bank account but the stories of strength, courage, and love that shape who we are.
Circa Legacy exists so you don’t miss your chance. Let’s honor the people who shaped your life—and make sure their stories live on, beautifully told and preserved for the generations still to come.
How We Work
We’re not an app. We’re not a self-service project. We’re not built on a system that asks your loved one to fill out homework.
We are the premiere legacy storytelling service. We are real humans helping you honor and celebrate the people you love. We are the premiere legacy storytelling service for families who don’t have the time or skills to do these projects alone.
We offer:
- Professional, guided interviews with your loved one.
- Beautifully written, first-person stories with added historical context.
- Custom-designed hardcover books with your family tree, photos, recipes, and memories.
- And coming soon, video excerpts to bring voices and faces to life for younger generations.
Each project is deeply personal. We don’t do cookie-cutter books. We listen, dig for details, and create something your family will treasure for generations.
I’ve spent my entire career interviewing thousands of people. I know how to ask the questions that uncover stories no one’s heard before. And I’ve built a team of writers, designers, and editors to help turn memories into a lasting legacy.
Why Your Family’s Stories Are Our Mission
This work isn’t just meaningful—it’s urgent.
In a world that moves too fast, where connection and identity can feel fragile, legacy stories are a roadmap. They remind us who we are, where we come from, and what we’re made of.
These stories are a source of courage. And preserving them is one of the greatest gifts we can give to future generations.
Your family’s legacy starts with one conversation. I’d be honored to help you begin.
Let’s get your family legacy started!
Keesia
